Independent Commission for Natural Materials and Processes (ICNMP) was developed in order to define and recognise natural materials and processes, from the harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to labelling.

ICNMP certifies materials have been tested for harmful substances and which are thus safe from a human-ecological perspective.
